The Department of Biomedical Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University invites highly qualified applications for a tenure line faculty position at the associate or full professor level. Exceptional assistant professor candidates will be considered as well. The department seeks candidates with a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering or a related field with an excellent track record and demonstrated ability to direct a world class research program across broad areas of biomedical engineering. These include, but are not limited to: biomechanics, biomedical devices, biotechnology, biosensors, biomedical imaging, micro-/nano-fabrication, cellular and molecular engineering, biomanufacturing, microbiome engineering, and synthetic biology. Candidates will have the opportunity to engage strong synergistic collaborations at the Materials Research Institute (MRI), the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences, the Institute for Cyber Science (ICS), Eberly College of Science, the Clinical Translational Science Institute (CTSI), the Penn State Cancer Institute (PSCI), and the Penn State College of Medicine.Penn State’s College of Engineering strives to build a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for students, staff, and faculty.
