Enterprise Services, a division of Housing and Food Services, is seeking candidates for the position of Safety and Security Specialist for Housing and Food Services Access and Security. The Access and Security Manager oversees mechanical and electronic access, electronic security, perimeter protection, and video surveillance for Housing and Food Services at University Park and ten residential Commonwealth Campuses. The primary duties of this position include access control for residence halls, apartments, common buildings, food services operations, and housing operational space. Develop and enforce security policies, standards, protocols and programs related to Access and Security. Coordinate and follow-up on access issues, mechanical and electronic access and camera troubleshooting, system setup, project maintenance and renovation/new construction projects. Collaborate with commons desk staff, Conference Services, Housing Operations, Residence Life, Food Services, Office of Physical Plant (OPP), University Police and Public Safety and other administrative units. Design and review key schematics, maintain inventories, assign non-resident access, prepare and analyze reports for cost saving, forecasting and planning. Oversee tracking support system for security codes, key alias, access cards, combination schedules and security doors. Direct initiatives for audits, provide training, coordinate facility walk-throughs, and lead project teams. Research industry standards and products, make recommendations and develop standards. Participate in departmental and University Committees. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks, and the ability to oversee a workforce in multiple locations. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as part of your job requirements. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle background check will be required in addition to standard background check. Some travel will be required and minimal evening/weekend work.
