The Graduate Program in Acoustics, see, is seeking an individual to serve as the Records Assistant. Duties include coordination of program seminars by visiting faculty and companies, assembling seminar announcements and ordering food, assisting with assembling graduate student admissions information to go to the Program’s Admissions Committee, scanning paper documents to become part of electronic file systems, assisting the Director with Student Ratings of Teaching Evaluations (SRTE), maintain a small departmental library, photocopying, distributing mail, and other duties as assigned. Employee assists and is supervised by the Resident Student Coordinator of the Acoustics Program in consultation with the Program Director. Candidates for consideration must submit a cover letter of interest, resume, and professional references in PDF format. A review of applicant materials will begin immediately. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office, E-mail, web, Box/Dropbox, and Lionpath are needed. Within a few weeks the employee will need to use basic functions of the Graduate School’s GRADS system. Within a few months the employee will need to use basic functions of SRTE system. Employee must be a team player, work well with students, faculty and other staff, exercise diversity, be accurate in tasks, and be responsible and professional at all times. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding. This is an 80% full-time equivalency (FTE) job.  Will work 32 hours per week. Full Penn State benefits included.
