Description

Enterprise Applications, a unit of Penn State Information Technology is seeking a resourceful, highly motivated, and proactive Programmer/Analyst to provide outstanding customer service and support for enterprise apps including Office 365 and GSuite. Primary duties include administering enterprise applications, GSuite and Office 365 global tenants, including Exchange Online and Sharepoint Online, providing support for tier 2 staff, and helping ensure highest level of availability and performance of our mission critical services. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree in a specialized field would be preferred. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with powershell, cloud solutions, performance tuning, and monitoring tools. This position requires a thorough understanding of Active Directory services, basic networking understanding, and will ensure risk profile of the services aligns with security standards and policies for Penn State. This position requires strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a team environment; interact appropriately with specialized and non-specialized audiences, and handle multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail. The successful candidate should also have a strong desire to diagnose problems, have excellent problem solving skills, be flexible, and maintain critical thinking abilities under pressure, and possess strong time-management and organizational skills. Receptivity to constant skill improvement and expansion of computer related knowledge is essential. Note: The 7x24x365 availability of University technology services requires some work outside the regular work hours to solve operational problems, ensure proper operation of new services, and perform upgrades.
