The person in this position serves as a resource for students in abstinence-based recovery for substance use disorders and those students seeking recovery on campus. This individual will work collaboratively with Penn State Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) staff to support the mission and functions of the CRC. The position will assist the program coordinator in extensive student-centered and student-focused programming, outreach, and education on campus; assist students, staff, alumni, and community members who access space and services of the program; assist with administration of the program; make referrals; help maintain the office`s physical space; demonstrate strong commitment to inclusionary practices which support diversity throughout the university. The role will devote a significant portion of responsibilities to student leadership development and advising, resource development and outreach, and ongoing office support. Proficient in Office365, ability to utilize current technology, attend to website updates and issues as needed. Some evening and weekend hours. Understanding of recovery necessary, experience in recovery setting preferred. Bachelor`s degree required; background in student affairs, higher education administration, social work, counseling, or related field preferred.
