Description

This position is within the Penn State College of Medicine, Family and Community Medicine Department and will assist faculty members and residents in State College with all aspects of internally and externally funded research. The responsibilities will take place at Mount Nittany Medical Center and/or Family and Community Medicine clinics in State College, depending on the study. Responsibilities will include developing Institutional Review Board (IRB) applications; patient recruitment and interaction; data collection and analysis; grant and manuscript writing; management of study procedures; and overseeing student team members. This position will also be involved with long-term planning for research and public health interventions; collaborating with diverse stakeholders; and disseminating research findings through manuscripts and presentations to the scientific and lay communities. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A strong background in conducting human subjects research is preferred. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding
