Description

The Applied Enterprise Systems Department of The Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University is seeking a highly knowledgeable professional in SAP systems landscape management. Responsibilities include: Installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP ECC, BW, SCM, BOBJ, Portal, PO/PI, S/4HANA, and Solutions Manager 7.2; installation and configuration of heterogeneous and homogeneous system copies of enterprise systems and installation into a sandbox environment; support enterprise ARIS modeling initiatives for the Army and Navy; support research of SAP PLM for defense applications; and develop system migration strategies for Department OD enterprise systems as part of ongoing research tasking. This job will be filled as a level 3, level 4, or level 5, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering or Science discipline (Master's degree preferred) or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. A Master’s degree or PhD in an Engineering or Science discipline is preferred. Preferred experience areas include: Experience in defense industry SAP installation and maintenance. Experience requirements include: Installation, configuration, and sustainment of SAP systems: ECC, BW, SCM, BOBJ, Portal, PO/PI, HANA, Solution Manager v7.2; management of SAP system compliance with DoD STIGs; and database administration for SAP and Oracle E-Business Suites. The successful candidate will be able to engage with DoD enterprise system technical community by using excellent presentation and communication skills. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. This is a one-year, fixed-term renewable appointment.
