The Leonhard Center for the Enhancement of Engineering Education in the College of Engineering at Penn State (University Park campus) invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant to support its research and development initiatives. The Leonhard Center was established in 1990 to support innovations in engineering education. As a member of the Center’s team, the Research Assistant will focus on supporting the Center’s research and development efforts. Applicants should be knowledgeable in quantitative and qualitative assessment methods. Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning theories are also desirable. Those with or working towards a Master’s degree or a Ph.D. in educational psychology, instructional design, adult education, curriculum and instruction, or a related field are welcome to apply. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills, are essential. One individual will be hired for a graduate research assistantship scheduled to begin in the fall 2019 semester. Application review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
