The Translational Brain Research Center and the Department of Neurology at The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine are looking for a Postdoctoral Scholar (PhD, MD, or MD/PhD) to participate in research investigating multi-domain biomarkers and their ability to mark and differentiate several clinically similar neurodegenerative disorders (e.g., Parkinson’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, and related disorders). The position offers the opportunity to gain advanced training and perform research in a dynamic, productive, and collegial multidisciplinary environment studying problems of human health and clinical importance. Experience either with brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) techniques, quantitative data analysis, statistical skills, biomarker development, computer coding, and a desire to gain additional training in MRI techniques are valued highly. Candidates with the ability and desire to develop an independent research career will be given special consideration. The fellowship is a one year appointment initially effective September 1, 2019 or as agreed upon, and is renewable annually upon mutual agreement.
