Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) Innovation seeks to hire a Graduate Research Assistant to aid in research focused on flexible and active learning spaces and the scholarship of teaching and learning. The position commitment is 20 hours per week, a half time assistantship for fall 2019 and spring 2020. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: designing, conducting, and coordinating educational research projects (primarily qualitative); communicating with internal and external research project stakeholders, and disseminating research findings (e.g., publications and conferences). The successful candidate will be an advanced PhD student who enjoys learning new things in a dynamic work environment. The candidate must be able to demonstrate the following required qualifications: experience using qualitative research methods, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and the ability to balance independent and collaborative work. In addition to these required qualifications, preferred qualifications are: knowledge of teaching and learning theory, expertise in learning spaces theory and/or research, advanced experience with qualitative research methods, and an existing publication record in qualitative research. Applications will require a cover letter, resume, writing sample, and two references. The writing sample may be an unpublished work (e.g., graduate course paper) or a first-authored published work.
