Description

The Penn State Division of Development and Alumni Relations is seeking a highly motivated Programmer/Analyst with a drive for operational excellence. This part-time, wage-payroll position will work with the Office of Donor Relations and Special Events on two primary projects: the annual endowment reports and the University-wide stewardship plan metrics. As part of the endowment reporting team, this position will collaborate with Division and University units to execute the annual endowment reports. Once the reports are complete, this position will assist in analyzing the processes used in generating the endowment reports, making recommendations for improvements, and building data processes for efficient reporting in the future. As part of the University-wide stewardship plan metrics team, this position will collaborate with Division units to verify accurate metric reporting and create processes to analyze the raw metric data. Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven expertise and/or ability to learn and operate computer software programs and working knowledge of relational database systems (TSQL, PLSQL) report writers (SQL reporting services, and/or Crystal Reports); and thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Advance Web (Ellucian) alumni database, and eSteward systems is preferred. The successful candidate will possess strong problem solving, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills, as well as the ability to excel in team environments. Candidates must demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences.
