Description

The College of Engineering, Department of Aerospace Engineering is seeking a conscientious, organized and detailed professional for the position of Proposal and Award Generalist 1. This position will report to the Administration Support Coordinator and will perform most work activities in a systematic, complex and deadline-driven environment. Responsible for assisting faculty with pre-and post-award proposals and projects including, but not limited to, preparing and managing budgetary records for research accounts, cost share accounts, gifts and endowments, monitoring account balances and end dates, requesting advanced fund numbers, budget revisions and no-cost extensions, assisting in closeout procedures, recommending resource allocation and funding distributions for fixed-term positions, graduate assistants, wage employees and postdoctoral salaries and compiling and analyzing financial reports. This position will serve as liaison with other University offices including the Office of Engineering Research Administration and the Office of Sponsored Programs. Successful candidate must be able multi-task and manage conflicting priorities. We have two open Proposal and Award Generalist 1 positions to fill. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates degree is preferred. Graduate of the ACES program and experience in University accounting and research administration preferred. University System experience in SIMS/SIMS Budgets, FIT, iTwo and IBIS strongly preferred. Experience in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat is required.
