The Center for Immersive Experience (CIE) is seeking a motivated individual to support programs in the new Center. This exciting new position works directly with the Center Director on a daily basis. Typical responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assistance with: organizing tours and coordinating demos; update website content; editing and editorial knowledge including solid Microsoft Word skills; researching, collecting and organizing information on such topics as immersive curriculum; organizing and writing news updates; provide communications between the Center and other University units supporting the Center; and willingness to learn basic technologies (for example: uploading videos to YouTube). This position will make appointments, organize meetings and schedule the Director’s travel and other administrative needs such as general office coverage: answer telephone, e-mail correspondence, and provide information to visitors to the Center. This is a new position that will be able to grow with this new University supported Center. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with Employee Reimbursement System (ERS) and other financial systems is preferred. The selected applicant must have a demonstrated commitment to diversity. This applicant must be able to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team environment in a fast-paced office. Strong communication, organization and customer service skills and attention to detail are critical to success in this role. Experience with Microsoft Office is required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
