The Center for Health Care and Policy Research (CHCPR) is seeking candidates for a staff research job as a Research Technologist 3. Primary responsibilities of this position include developing, designing, and conducting one or more research projects, developing data collection instruments and processes, conducting primary data collection, organizing and synthesizing data, conducting quantitative and/or mixed-method data analysis, and authoring/co-authoring written research products. The position will also have general project management and coordination responsibilities. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher (Master's degree preferred) or higher plus seven years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal academic research training is required. Experience with statistical software packages such as STATA or SAS is preferred. Knowledge of the U.S. health care system is preferred. The successful candidate should have highly-developed analytic and information-processing skills, strong communication skills both verbally and in writing, the ability to work both independently and closely with other team members, and excellent attention to detail and deadlines. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
