The Pennsylvania State University Human Resources Shared Services seeks a Recruiting and Sourcing Specialist to manage job vacancies for full-time/part-time positions. Duties include posting positions in the job vacancy system, and identifying potential candidates via a variety of strategies including external advertising, networking, conducting queries within resume databases, direct sourcing, research, internet recruiting, and job fairs; pre-screening applicant pools for minimum qualifications, providing salary analysis, conducting background checks, drafting offer letters, and closing positions once filled; provide guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices; investigate, analyze, and resolve recruitment-related issues; ensure compliance with University policy and applicable State and Federal laws; and investigate and resolve routine to intermediate inquiries, coordinating with respective departments and referring complex situations to appropriate contact. The position will collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative recruitment strategies to create diverse high-quality candidate pools based on current and future University needs; and develop training, communications, and presentations. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
