Description

The Pennsylvania State University`s Department of Plant Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to study various aspects of mineral nutrition and metal stress in plants. This project is under the supervision of Erin Connolly and is supported in part by the National Science Foundation. The candidate will collaborate with physiologists, soil-scientists, molecular biologists and geneticists to address broader questions related to metal ion homeostasis. The candidate is expected to be able to work independently as well as collaborate with graduate students and undergraduates on related projects. The initial appointment will be for one year, with the opportunity for renewal contingent on the availability of funding. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in plant biology, biology or related discipline(s) completed by start date. Applicants should have experience with root/soil interactions, molecular biology and genomics.
