PennTAP; the Pennsylvania Technical Assistance Program, which resides within the Office of the Vice President for Research, is looking for an educational programmer who can support this growing program. PennTAP educates, empowers, and engages Pennsylvania organizations through direct technical assistance and Penn State expertise and resources. Through a network of technical advisors, PennTAP delivers education programs on topics related to energy efficiency, pollution prevention, entrepreneurship, and many others. We are looking for an individual who can contribute to the overall success of PennTAP by helping to support, monitor, and grow the educational offerings for small businesses seeking support from Penn State, and who can work collaboratively with staff, students, faculty, and companies. Key activities include, but are not limited to; supporting the PennTAP webinar series, statewide and regional workshops, monitoring the effectiveness of PennTAP educational and technical assistance efforts through a custom database and reporting software program, and interfacing with clients and assisting with scheduling of client visits. This position will also provide general support to the Director and staff with travel arrangements and financial document reconciliation, and will review reports to funding agencies and clients. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with Constant Contact experience is beneficial. Experience with Office 365, Zoom, and Employee Reimbursement System(ERS) is required. The successful candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills. This is a fixed term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding.
