The Office of the Campus Registrar is looking for a Records Specialist with strong customer service, attention to detail, problem solving, and communication skills. Primary responsibilities for this position include the following duties: evaluate and maintain academic records including grade changes and academic actions; academic actions including changes to personal information; facilitate referrals to university offices and resources; scheduling classrooms for each semester; manage the event scheduling and management system; research, verify, and update student records; assisting the Campus Registrar with building and publishing the schedule of courses each term; maintain and monitor the department email, mail, and interoffice mail; provide guidance and support to university staff, faculty, students and parents; load and validate student records; adhere to university policies and procedures; ensure student confidentiality is maintained per FERPA regulation; and maintain retention policies for forms and the electronic storage of documents involving scanning, indexing and verifying; submitting certificate program completions. The successful candidate will also support the Financial Aid Coordinator with day-to-day tasks and projects, including providing support services and outreach to students and campus personnel. Additional duties for this position include assisting with preparation for and day-of duties related to commencement and other events and ceremonies; maintaining office calendars and materials. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor’s degree with experience preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, CollegeNet’s 25 Live Series, and Hobsons’ Starfish Retention Solutions are highly preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office software applications is required.
