Penn State Human Resources is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Administrative Support Assistant for the HR Services Center, located in Innovation Park. This position will provide support in the New Employee Center, greeting visitors and providing a positive and welcoming experience to members of the Penn State community, and may provide assistance to other units within Human Resources. Duties include but are not limited to interfacing with customers; preparing for onboarding sessions and updating material; preparing correspondence and other confidential forms, reports, and documents; managing paper and electronic files; and taking minutes, as needed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for providing calendar and conference room scheduling; coordinating meeting logistics and placing catering orders; processing financial transactions; handling travel arrangements and reimbursements; maintaining office inventory; and serving as a resource and training contact for office and videoconferencing equipment. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Experience with University systems (IBIS, eBuy, ERS, Workday) is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
