The Undergraduate Education Communications office is looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented Marketing and Communications professional to join its team. The position will support, coordinate, and perform assigned tasks related to the strategic planning and execution of marketing communications projects for more than fifteen UE units and to support strategic priorities set forth by Undergraduate Education. Responsibilities may include projects related to print, advertising, web, social media, email, video, and other digital mediums. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience writing for both news and promotional purposes. The candidate must also have strong project management and organizational skills and be able to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will also possess excellent interpersonal skills, and be comfortable working both collaboratively and independently, and able to connect with a myriad of stakeholders across departments within UE and across Penn State, including administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and communications’ colleagues. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, and basic knowledge of Adobe CS Suite programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), social media, and email marketing platforms is preferred. Basic knowledge of photography, videography, and comfort working in content management systems is also preferred. Candidates should be prepared to provide writing samples and examples of previous work. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
