The College of Engineering`s marketing and communications office is seeking a student communications intern to fill a part-time, photo position in our office in the fall of 2019 with a possibility of continuing in the spring. The student will be asked to work 10 hours per week, which may include hours during evenings and weekends to cover events. The intern`s responsibilities will include: Taking photos of engineering students, faculty, and events; editing photo files for use in social media, publications, and on the College websites; and supporting related activities. The ideal candidate should have experience taking photos with a DSLR camera, knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop and Lightroom, and be curious about activities related to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The applicant must be dependable, flexible, and organized. The intern must demonstrate attention to detail and possess solid photography skills, including retouching and post production. The internship is open to rising juniors and seniors, as well as graduate students, majoring in advertising, marketing, graphic design, film or related field. This paid internship is for fall 2019. Students may take the internship for credit. To be considered, applicants must submit a cover letter, resume, and three to five photo samples.
