The Office of Veterans Programs is seeking a Coordinator responsible for directing veterans' outreach programs and initiatives at Penn State to include target mailings, records, maintenance, and reports; Serve as liaison to the other campuses within the Penn State system regarding veterans' benefits; Evaluate current programming and alter or assist in creating new programs based on student need; Serve as liaison with reserve and active military organizations as needed in furtherance of the efforts of this office; Represent this office and the University at conferences and committees germane to GI Bill education benefits, admissions, financial aid, etc.; and Administer the veteran's list serv and veteran's priority registration. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces is preferred. This position requires an in-depth knowledge of veterans’ programs and services, to include the different chapters of the GI Bill. Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills are required.
