The Department of Statistics, in the Eberly College of Science, seeks to hire a Multimedia Specialist 2. The selected candidate will be responsible for the integration of several related client needs to develop appropriate technology solutions for information delivery and/or learning environments; coordinate various projects related to multimedia technology development, which may include visualization and imaging projects, and application design and implementation; collaborate with faculty and staff on the integration of multimedia technology into the classroom and resolve any issues; create training resources and other documentation; act as a liaison with University committees and task forces; provide technical guidance to customers in the department; manage departmental social media sites; produce agendas, presentation booklets and other meeting materials; work with faculty to create brochures, posters, displays, exhibits, etc.; manage the production of media and print materials for offset reproduction of publications, graphics, displays, exhibits and other projects; and monitor databases for the department. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong database and website programming skills as well as systems administration background required and familiarity with the software suite currently being used is preferred. Successful candidate will work well independently and be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Required technical skills to include: Knowledge of Web Management including Drupal 8, Wordpress; HTML5, CSS3; Photo editing software: Lightroom and Photoshop; Design software such as: Adobe Illustrator, In Design; along with Video Editing Software. This is a fixed-term position funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
