The Penn State Justice and Safety Institute (JASI) is looking for a highly organized and motivated individual to join our curriculum development team as a Quality Assurance Analyst for the Pennsylvania Child Support Enforcement Training Institute (PACSETI). PACSETI is a sponsored program with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. PACSETI has over 170 trainings and uses a multichannel delivery format including online self-paced, face-to-face trainings with video conferencing for remote site connections and webinars to reach its audience of nearly 3,000 participants. This individual will be expected to work on multiple simultaneous projects where they will review both systems and training products to identify and document defects for resolution. The individual will learn, maintain, and apply an in-house style manual. Additionally, the individual will participate in weekly QA meetings with a peer to review and allocate pending QA assignments between themselves. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Familiarity with Associated Press (AP) Stylebook, as well as experience reviewing, evaluating and providing feedback on writing is desirable. Candidates with prior experience in testing software or training materials based on predefined and evolving standards are highly desirable. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can work independently with little supervision and excel as part of a team. The successful candidate must have excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
