The Director of Alumni Relations, College of Health and Human Development, reports to the Director of Development, College of Health and Human Development (HHD), and is responsible for providing strategic guidance, comprehensive planning and direct oversight to the College’s alumni engagement programs, ensuring the alumni relations operations are integrated into the development office and overall College goals. This position also serves as the primary staff liaison to the 30-member HHD Alumni Society Board and is responsible for the development and implementation of the Society’s strategic plan, actions and program. This position will also perform comprehensive analyses related to all aspects of the alumni engagement program and use the data collected to evaluate current programs and makes recommendations for program improvements. Supervising the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations, the Director of Alumni Relations will oversee the planning and execution of on and off campus events, the management of volunteers and Affiliate Program Groups and the administration of select alumni awards. Essential functions of the position include: Empower, motivate and supervise the work of the of the Alumni Relations team to ensure department operations are integrated, effective and efficient in meeting the goals of the Development office and the College. Set priorities, goals and strategies for alumni engagement programs, activities and events Supervise Assistant Director of Alumni Relations Collaborate with the Director of Development and the development team on integrating strategies into the overall office goals Lead the HHD alumni society board and develop and implement strategic plan, actions and program. Develop and monitor Alumni Relations budget. Represent the office and on and off campus events and activities. Collect data and analyze and evaluate current programs and make recommendations for program improvements. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from hire date, with excellent possibility of re-funding.
