Are you looking for an exciting new opportunity supporting programs that engage students in using cutting edge technologies to drive innovation, while helping prepare them for a world enabled by Artificial Intelligence (AI)? If so, the Penn State Nittany AI Alliance is looking for a talented, highly-motivated individual to support the planning and successful execution of Nittany AI Alliance programs, including the Nittany AI Challenge, the AI Associates program, and AI Immersion. We are solving common problems in uncommon ways, putting students at the heart of what we do. This position provides direct operational support to Alliance leadership, including the development of project workflows, project reporting, and coordination of program related marketing and public relations. We are looking for an individual who can: contribute to the overall success of the Alliance by helping develop and execute on multiple program operational plans; work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and industry partners; assist in the planning and management of Alliance events; and work closely with Outreach marketing and public relations staff to coordinate program related tasks. Successful candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a desire to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening hours for special events is required. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with artificial intelligence, design thinking, and/or WordPress would be plus, but are not required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with an excellent possibility of re-funding.
