Description

The College of Education is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to contribute to the College’s communication needs. This individual will write and coordinate web content, press releases, news features on people and research, promotional brochures, and content for other media, including social media. The successful candidate will have demonstrated journalistic-style writing and editing skills; familiarity with AP editorial style; experience with web content management systems; experience with print publication design using Adobe InDesign; experience editing photos using Adobe Photoshop for use in print and online; and a thorough understanding of social media networking and metrics. Some supervisory responsibilities directing the work of wage payroll, student, and/or temporary employees or volunteers may be required. Finalists may be asked to provide additional information. Successful individuals will be self-starters who can work both independently and as part of a team and who can balance multiple assignments with different deadlines. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
