The University Office of Global Programs is seeking a Sponsored Relations Coordinator to support the University’s international sponsored student population, which includes students financially supported by foreign governments, corporations, and nonprofits. The Sponsored Relations Coordinator will support the Sponsored Relations Manager position by managing the operational activities of the office, ensuring schedules are maintained and deadlines are met. The primary role of this position is to support the current international sponsored student population enrolled on any of the Pennsylvania State University campuses, advising students regarding specific sponsor regulations and policies, and leading co-curricular programming designed to enhance students’ time at the University. The Sponsored Relations Coordinator will also assist with sponsor reporting requests and verifications. Under the direction of the manager, this position will coordinate, developing and implementing procedures with various offices within Global Programs and around the University; including but not limited to the various colleges and campuses, Global Programs Finance Office, Graduate School, Undergraduate Admissions Office, the Student Health Insurance Office and the Directorate of International Student and Scholar Advising (DISSA). This position oversees program development and the coordination of key office functions, such as seminars, workshops, social events, banquets, travel, student recruitment, etc. This position will perform non-routine and confidential administrative duties, and proxy responsibilities as authorized in absence of the manager. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills. Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Starfish, LionPATH, iTwo and learning advocacy tools is preferred. A Master’s Degree or higher in an education or social science related discipline is also preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
