Description

Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus is currently recruiting for an Enrollment Services Specialists III (Admissions Counselor). Located in southwestern Pennsylvania, Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus is part of a multi-campus public research university enjoying a world-wide reputation for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service. As a small campus, we offer both traditional and nontraditional students an intimate and supportive learning environment with strong ties to the surrounding community. At the same time, the students have direct access to the extensive educational resources and services of all The Pennsylvania State University. The Enrollment Services Specialist will be asked to recruit traditional and nontraditional student (i.e. veteran, adult, and transfer) populations for the University, maintain relationships with school counselors, participate in special visitation and recruitment programs for the campus, and regularly communicate with prospective students and applicants. Primary duties include visiting high schools and participating in college fairs, transfer events, and on-campus events to present Penn State information to prospective students and their families. Other responsibilities include: provide in-take services including taking student/parent phone calls and responding to e-mail; advise, counsel, and provide information to prospective and current students on University programs and processes, as well as eligibility requirements for admission and/or financial aid; conduct individual appointments and group sessions with students and families; communicate with a wide variety of audiences internal and external to the University; work with current student ambassador program; support the campus' college in high school program; serve on campus committees; and attend training and development for the Enrollment Management team. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with a CRM (customer relationship management) system and social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) is desirable. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the three publicly available clearances. Successful Candidate must have strong communication and presentation skills, a willingness to travel locally and out-of-state on behalf of the campus and University, and the ability to work in a flexible, team environment.
