Description

The Scranton Campus is seeking a current student for the position of Part Time Research Assistant. This position will be responsible for assisting Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS) faculty in the recruitment for a study on stepparent-child relationships after separation. The research assistant will assist the faculty in the recruitment of participants, qualitative data collection, data entry, transcription, and manuscript preparation during the fall 2019 semester. Applicants must have strong computer skills and the capacity to learn qualitative research methods and work routines quickly. Qualified candidates must also have the ability to work independently to make progress on tasks and meet deadlines. The Research Assistant will work 10 hours weekly for 14 weeks at an hourly rate of $9.50. All students are welcome to apply, but preference will be given to students in the HDFS major and those who have taken coursework related to research methods in social science.
