The Penn State Alumni Association, with the Division of Development and Alumni Relations, is seeking a Financial Assistant to serve as a key team member. This position will serve as the first point of contact between the Finance Office and their assigned units. Candidates must be committed to excellent customer service and enjoy working in a team environment. Primary duties are to verify, approve and process electronic financial documents in ERS, Ebuy+ and IBIS, while ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures. Review and post purchasing card transactions and direct billings. Assist in monitoring accounts/cost centers in assigned units. Review and approve deposits and perform cash handling duties. Monitor and resolve CRFN. Reconcile room rental charges and initiate payments. Assist with the annual audit process. Other duties as assigned. This job will be filled as a level 3, or level 4, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 3. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), iTwo, ERS, IBIS, eBuy+, 25Live, DocFinity and CVENT is a plus. The ideal candidate must have accounting experience and be very detail orientated and well organized.
