The Energy Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences is seeking a Financial Assistant. The successful candidate will: place orders through eBuy Punch Out or Purchasing Card, reconcile Purchasing Card transactions for the Financial Coordinator, reconcile monthly direct bills, process group meal reimbursements, log and track EMS Energy Institute trucks, log, track, and maintain gas cylinder orders, issue parking permits, maintain Energy Institute database, monitor and order office/kitchen supplies, sort and distribute mail, run courier twice per week, assist with processing Visiting Scholars, and act as back up to the Financial Coordinator. In addition, this position acts as the assistant to the EMS Energy Institute Director. In this role, the final candidate will: act as the main point of contact for the director, manage and maintain calendars, and make travel arrangements. This position will also be responsible for meeting preparation, to include booking meeting space, preparing agendas, and ordering and setting up catering. Will assist with other financial/administrative tasks as assigned. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of University policies, procedures, and systems (eBuy, ERS, IBIS), as well as Microsoft Office products is preferred. The successful candidate should be detail oriented, dependable, and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
