The Clearinghouse for Military Family Readiness at The Pennsylvania State University (Clearinghouse) seeks a part-time Research Project Support position to provide research expertise and support to professionals serving military families. The Clearinghouse is an applied research center that serves military families through program creation, selection, implementation and evaluation. The Clearinghouse is nationally recognized for work that focuses on improving the health and well-being of military service members and their families. Projects focus on topics such as parenting, health promotion, building family resilience, preventing family violence, enhancing child and youth development, suicide prevention, evaluation of mental health treatments for service members, and veteran transitions from military to civilian life among numerous others. The duties of this position include supporting the development of program implementation resources and materials; assisting in the dissemination and implementation of project or program information; performing research on identified topics; and developing and identifying evidence informed tools and resources. Must possess strong written and oral communication skills. Preference will be given to individuals that have experience working with, or knowledge of, military culture, military families, and/or military background. Candidate selection is dependent upon successful accomplishment of background checks in accordance with Penn State policy.
