The College of Engineering Finance Office is seeking two Financial Coordinators to join our team. They will work closely with departmental administrative and college financial staff in the processing/approval of expenses and cost transfers for assigned departments as well as other functionality in current and future financial systems including Concur for Employee Reimbursement and Purchasing Card processing. Approve Workday forms in the Unit Administrator role and post/adjust salaries, supplemental pay, graduate assistantships, and fellowships in Labor Distribution. Work with assigned units to verify availability of funds to support all expenditures and to ensure University and external sponsor policies are followed. Review/approve Employee Reimbursement System (ERS) reports, purchase orders in eBuy+, cost transfers for salaries/wages, and all other expenses and income for assigned units. The Financial Coordinators will actively participate in the financial administration of Cost Share funds associated with sponsored research projects. Work with departments to establish policy AD-15 internal and external charge-out rates for approval by cost analysis. Serve as proxy for other departmental staff, Assistant Financial Officers and Financial Officer in their absence. These positions will supervise, train, and evaluate a team of 2 or 3 staff members. The Financial Coordinators will serve as backups for each other and work as a team to accomplish goals, support the Assistant Financial Officers in troubleshooting unique and complex issues and situations that require knowledge of University policies and procedures, and coordinate with other administrative areas and central offices as required. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus six years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with IBIS, iTwo, FIT, SIMS, ERS, eBuy, LionPath, Workday, Pay and Effort, and Research Administration is strongly preferred. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 are desired. The successful candidates must be highly motivated and exhibit a high degree of professionalism and initiative. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required. Attention to detail and good judgement are vital requirements, as well as the ability to work within a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate a genuine appreciation in working with diverse audiences. Knowledge of the University’s financial and other related policies and procedures preferred. Completion of ACES and supervisory experience is a plus.
