Description

The College of the Liberal Arts is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Systems Administrator to join our ITLA (Information Technology in Liberal Arts) team. Primary duties include: leading the system admin team; transitioning appropriate technologies to the cloud; managing our Windows and Linux server environment; managing our SQL servers; assisting with the administration of our JAMF and SCCM environments; providing support for server and network infrastructure; diagnose and analyze issues; mitigate system and network security incidents; managing and updating documentation for systems and networks. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will possess experience with Windows Server, Linux, SQL servers, SCCM, JAMF, networking and Windows Active Directory. Working knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Code42 Crashplan, Cylance, Splunk, Kayesa server patching and monitoring solution, and Security Enclaves is preferred. Advanced knowledge of server administration, virtualization, networking, cloud technologies, and security best practices is required. Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to successfully interact with a diverse audience. Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills are critical to this position. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and require minimal supervision as well as have a positive attitude, and an enthusiastic approach to new ideas. Key attributes for the individual are: creativity, adaptability, accountability, ability to multi-task various projects in parallel, and working efficiently within a team environment.
