Penn State Hazleton is seeking to fill the position of full-time Instructor in the Medical Laboratory Technology program. Expectations of this position are to provide disciplinary expertise and classroom and campus laboratory instruction and performance evaluation in the areas of Clinical Chemistry (Fall), and Hematology (Fall) and Immunohematology/Serology (Spring), and Clin. Microbiology (Spring). Also classroom and campus laboratory instruction in Introductory Medical Laboratory Technology (Summer). Responsibilities also include participation in the development of curriculum and program policy and procedures, as well as assessment of program outcomes. Current national certification as MT/MLS (ASCP). Masters degree in a relevant field is preferred. Three years’ experience in all areas of an accredited medical laboratory, including Clinical Microbiology. Experience teaching students in the clinical setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Current knowledge in the areas of specialization. Willingness to support a diverse population of students. Documentation of ongoing professional development over the past three years.
