Description

The Department of Curriculum and Instruction and College of Education at Penn State is accepting applications for a supervisor to work with students seeking Pennsylvania Reading Specialist certification. This job is for the fall of 2019 to teach CI 495. The person in this role must be a certified PA Reading Specialist with at least five years’ experience as a reading specialist working with K-12 students. Additional required qualifications include a Ph.D. in education, experience in supervising student teachers or interns seeking teacher certification, and experience in leading seminars about issues in education. The successful candidate will supervise students seeking reading specialist certification. Duties include securing placements, coordinating seminars and teacher panels, facilitating communication between school site and the University reading specialist program faculty, and collaborating as needed with University reading specialist program faculty lead.
