This posting will be used to fill multiple vacancies. Positions will be responsible to the Assistant Director for Marketing and Communications. Each position will require candidates to spend the majority of their time communicating with current and prospective students via telephone and e-mail, answering questions about undergraduate admissions processes. Excellent customer service skills are required for this position. All candidates will recruit prospective students by presenting admissions information to groups of students and families on-campus. All positions will handle large volume of inquiries via e-mail, telephone, and in-person meetings to advise prospective, applicant, and admitted students and families to make informed college-choice decisions. All positions will require candidates to participate in and provide high level of student-centered service in all activities. Candidates must be able to articulate undergraduate admission options at all campuses for all applicant types. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work inclusively with individuals and groups that represent a wide-array of identities, socioeconomic statuses, life experiences, and communication styles. Penn State has an excellent benefits package, including tuition discount. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer experience with knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Slate (or other CRM system), and Microsoft Office Suite is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and organizational skills are essential, with a desire to communicate with prospective students and their families about their Penn State options throughout the application process. The ability to manage concurrent projects and a high level of detail with accuracy is required. Demonstrated high level of customer service in high volume environment is critical. Candidates must be able to work in a collaborative team environment. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
