The Outreach Non-Credit Registration Office is seeking a Records Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a superior attention to detail, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work successfully in a team environment as well as independently. This position is responsible for setting up all sections for our non-credit courses in the Destiny student enrollment/course management system and assisting internal and external customers with issues related to the systems and registration processes. This position works heavily with internal clients throughout Penn State Outreach as well as across the campuses. We seek candidates who are able to demonstrate experience and the ability to advance Outreach's diversity initiative. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. Ideal candidate should have experience in data entry, the ability to learn new software and systems quickly, be well-versed in dealing with a variety of customers, and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work with diverse audiences. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding.
