The Hospitality Services Specialist ensures standards of continuous quality improvement are met and provides leadership for outstanding customer service at all levels of the organization; defines goals for future organizational performance and decides on the tasks and use of resources needed to attain them; communicates goals to employees and/or the organization; uses influence to motivate employees to achieve organizational goals; possesses an in-depth knowledge of their area of expertise and able to improve performance by using analytical skills; demonstrates a commitment to deliver superior quality customer service, a high level of performance, the ability to work with diverse customers, and the ability to work collaboratively, problem solve, and work in teams. The Penn Stater Hotel is seeking a highly motivated, friendly, and guest-focused full-time Facilities Manager Assistant within the Facilities Department. This position has high vendor and contractor interaction and will be a front-line liaison for the facilities office area. This individual will assist the Facilities Manager with general office support including weekly schedules, inputting work orders into the Hotsos work order system, repair parts identification and parts orders, updated vendor and contractor contact list, daily conference planner and employee locker room key logging and distribution. Maintain an up to date employee safety training logbook. This position will also assist with the hotels lost and found items including but not limited to, logging items daily on a spreadsheet, contacting guests, checking the lost and found extension number daily, and expediting the return of the guest items. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong support of diversity and inclusion in the workplace is required. It will require the candidate to operate various equipment and computer systems and software including copy machine, fax and develop a working knowledge of the Hotsos workorder system. This is a 40 hour a week position with days and hours varying due to business levels. This is a fixed term position funded for one year from date of hire with excellent opportunity for renewal and is eligible for Penn State full time employee benefits.
