The Penn State Better Kid Care Program has an opening for an Education Program Associate to provide leadership for the development, implementation and evaluation of professional development to early care and education and school-age childcare practitioners. The successful candidate will apply current research and evidence-based practices in early childhood education and youth development to the development of online learning modules and other professional development materials and collaborate with early childhood researchers, educators and agency personnel to assist them in the development of content. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus four years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s preferred. Experience in early childhood education, youth development, family and consumer sciences or related field highly preferred. A strong background in and experience with early childhood coaching is preferred. Experience developing, implementing and evaluating professional development for early care and education professionals and/or school-age practitioners is required. Experience developing curricula for online delivery is required. Excellent written, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment are essential. Excellent technology skills required. This position is a fixed-term position funded through June 30, 2020 with excellent possibility of re-funding.
