Description

The Pennsylvania State University Human Resources Shared Services seeks a Recruiting and Sourcing Specialist to manage job vacancies for part-time positions. Duties include conducting background checks, drafting offer letters; provide guidance to hiring managers and HR professionals on recruitment policies, procedures, and best practices; investigate, analyze, and resolve recruitment-related issues; ensure compliance with Penn State policy and applicable State and Federal laws; and investigate and resolve routine to intermediate inquiries, coordinating with respective departments and referring complex situations to appropriate contact. The position will collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members to evaluate and streamline processes and develop innovative recruitment strategies to create and develop training, communications, and presentations. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills; accuracy and attention to detail; functional experience with multiple computer software platforms; strong customer service skills; a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality; the ability to work effectively as an individual contributor and as part of a team; and a strong commitment to fostering diversity and equal opportunity.
