Description

Collect waste from work area; clean waste cans. Dust, dust mop floors, wet mop floors, spot clean and vacuum rugs, runners, etc., rotate runners. Wash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc., clean restrooms and stock dispensers. Dust and/or polish furniture, radiators, sills, doors, venetian blinds, shades, etc. Maintain equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly condition. Lock doors, close and lock windows and turn out lights as required. Remove and bundle soiled linen; make up beds. Vacuum mattresses and springs; turn mattresses as required. Keep linen room in a clean and orderly condition. Inspect room after guest leaves for lost articles; report lost items and missing items to housekeeper. Replace burned out light bulbs in desk type fixtures. Replenish stationery, matches and blotters in the guest rooms. Report needed repairs to supervisor. Job Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required.
