As the locus for one of the University’s primary strategic goals, Global Programs is an area of growth and opportunity for those seeking a career in the field of international education. Global Programs Marketing & Communications unit seeks a Specialist to support and assist in planning and execution of marketing and communications efforts for Global Programs. The Specialist will be responsible for overseeing and managing social media platforms and strategies, growing social media audiences, interactions, and platforms, specifically WeChat, and evaluating social media platform effectiveness through data analysis. Proven experience with social media platforms and results strongly desired. Additional responsibilities include support of marketing planning efforts; contributions to the conceptualization, development, and production of marketing communications deliverables across multiple areas including advertising, promotional collateral, web presence, social media, direct email marketing, and news content; maintain promotional item inventory; serve as primary representative with Global Education Coordinators at Commonwealth Campuses; manage digital signage; create and maintain digital email marketing platform and grow readership with clearly defined goals; assist with website maintenance; and assist with creating effective and compelling print pieces and maintain print material inventory. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The ideal candidate will have marketing, communications, social media marketing, or related experience. Applicants should be creative, analytical, with excellent written and visual communications skills, and eager to balance multiple projects simultaneously while working independently as well as collaboratively. Applicants should be ambitious self-starters who stay abreast of emerging trends and technology in digital marketing and social media. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe CS Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), and Drupal applications is preferred. Basic knowledge of photography and videography preferred. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of refunding.
