Penn State Schuylkill is seeking a Coordinator of Athletics Eligibility and Recruiting to help the campus increase the number and quality of student athletes, brand awareness of campus athletics, and philanthropy and alumni engagement. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Coordinator of Athletics Eligibility and Recruiting works with the PSUAC, USACC, and NAIA on issues of compliance and eligibility; provides support to the coaches and works closely with the admissions office to recruit student athletes; travels to attend NAIA events and meet recruits; and organizes campus visits and events to build affinity to, and support of, athletics. The Coordinator maintains accurate records and provides regular reports and updates regarding compliance and eligibility, works with the coaches and the Office of Admissions to track student contacts; monitors recruiting software and sites—including Front-Rush, and trains coaches to use the system; managing information for high school points of contact and potential recruits. The Coordinator assists in the tracking of recruits and the status of their applications, produces reports, analyses, and recommendations to improve recruiting student athletes. The Coordinator works with the Office of Strategic Communications to develop marketing materials including print fliers, mailers, photos of PSA celebratory signings, and postings on social media to increase brand awareness and with the Offices of Development and Alumni Relations to increase philanthropy and alumni support. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master’s degree in sport management is preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and mature office and analytical skills.
