Description

Penn State’s World Campus has an opening for an Instructional Production Specialist. You will provide administrative and specialized support to our Instructional Designers (IDs) and other Instructional Production Specialists (IPSs). You will assist in the production and administration of our online courses each semester; this includes updating and maintaining information in internal systems and Web pages. This job will be filled as a level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's competencies, education, and experience. Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a level 2. Additional experience and/or education and competencies are required for higher level jobs. You should be an effective multi-tasker, and work well in an environment that is constantly evolving to meet the needs of distance learners. Competencies critical to success are that you can work in a team environment, are proactive to identify and resolve required fixes in courses, can exceed customer’s expectations, and can process many details in a highly organized, accurate and efficient manner. Experience using a learning management system such as Canvas is a plus. An intermediate or comprehensive level of technology skills related to Web production, content management systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing is essential along with the desire to provide excellent customer service. Candidate must have good time management skills while working on multiple projects. Willingness to learn new and emerging technologies is required. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of re-funding
