The School of Visual Arts at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Art to begin August 16, 2019. This is a three-year (non-tenure track) fixed-term position. The successful candidate will teach at least one undergraduate course per semester in the Digital Art and Media Design program, and will provide graphic design, web design, and communication/social media support for outreach and other initiatives within the School of Visual Arts. The successful candidate should have a strong background in Digital Arts and Media Design or New Media as their specific area of studio art, as well as a demonstrated record of professional work. The successful candidate will be expected to interact and collaborate with the faculty members and students (undergraduate and graduate) in the School of Visual Arts. Candidates must possess at least a master`s degree or its equivalent; a terminal degree is preferred.
