The Administrative Data Accelerator (http://www.accelerator.psu.edu/) at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park, is seeking applications for a Research Data Management Specialist (Data Manager) to join our growing team. The mission of the Data Accelerator is to acquire, link, and analyze complex and diverse data-sets from varying disciplines to accelerate the research-to-impact process. This position will be responsible for data management processes for various research projects. This includes working with sensitive and restricted information, transforming raw data into usable extracts for research analysis, and communicating with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure that data products are appropriately processed to enable proposed analytic plans. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Programming skills in either R, Python, or STATA are highly desired. The successful candidate for this position should be comfortable working with messy data-sets, can gather information needed to successfully prepare data products for researchers, and can successfully collaborate and communicate within a team environment. Experience with managing data projects, timelines, and setting task priority is important. Our team values diverse perspectives, opinions, and innovative approaches.
