Description

The Student Engagement Network invites candidates to apply for the position of Student Engagement Network (SEN) Student Services Associate to contribute across the full spectrum of the Penn State Student Engagement initiative. This position reports to the Director of the Student Engagement Network. The successful candidate should expect to: assist in directing the SEN Grant program, the SEN Internship program, and the daily operations of the SEN office. This position will assist in data management, program operations, and logistical aspects of the Student Engagement Network, which include financial record keeping, content updates on the website, and the student engagement portal (under construction). This position will also assist with office needs, including answering telephones, responding to student or faculty/staff inquiries, maintaining calendars and schedules; assist with student engagement initiatives across the Penn State system, including: manage the operational on-site activities of the student engagement space; monitor budgets and keep excellent records; assist in interviewing, hiring, training, and supervision of student interns and/or volunteers; oversee maintenance of records/databases to track indicators of success; and support the communications and marketing aspects of the SEN. Review of applications will begin on June 21, 2019. Typically requires a Master's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential requirements: an enthusiastic, creative, and innovative individual with experience in data management, technology, and student activities who demonstrates dedicated commitment to customer service, outstanding interpersonal, organizational, learning and communication abilities (both verbal and written), capability to work both independently and as an effective member of a team, and the ability to multi-task and respond professionally in a fast paced environment.
