Description

The Penn State PRO Wellness is seeking a qualified candidate as a Project Coordinator for intervention programs and research focused on school-based wellness. Qualified candidates will demonstrate interest in community-based research and programming for mental health and obesity prevention, be detail-oriented, produce high quality work, communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and participate in team responsibilities. The Project Coordinator is responsible for: scheduling, coordinating and conducting conference calls, and meetings with project team, and study participants; developing and designing educational and resource materials for various research projects and school district programs; coordinating study focus group logistics, recruiting participants, and data analysis under the direction of the project manager; assisting school contacts to assess, implement and evaluate wellness policies and programs, follow up with schools as necessary; organize and update study documentation including Human Subjects Protection Organization documentation; assisting with interim and final reports and present to funding organizations. This job involves occasional travel and overnight stays Typically requires an Associate's degree or higher plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor's degree or higher plus two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. This position requires that the Project Coordinator is able to operate a motor vehicle as a part of the job duties. A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks. Experience with marketing and/or design a plus. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with possibility of re-funding.
